Both the meat and dairy programs are strongly anchored on the nutrition of the livestock through the feeds and fodder. EAL has developed feeds and fodder regimes which are Total Mixed Rations (TMR) for both meat and dairy livestock. this will help in achieving the set production objectives.
Looking at the significant correlation between the animal nutrition and productivity, we have EAL feeds production which will supply feeds to the meat and dairy livestock. Consequently, we have also commended the EAL fodder program which seeks to produce specific fodder in line with the TMRs.
EAL supplies farmers on the EAL scheme with fodder designed towards increasing production. the fodder production is done in clusters where we contract farmers and fodder producers to produce specific products for us which we then convert in to TMR's and supply to the farmers/farms in the EAL scheme. EAL allows investments under the fodder invest Program.
